ICE
I've been wanting to write about this for a while but quite frankly I needed to get a little further from the bitter cold and dreariness that comes with the middle of a Wisconsin winter before I could appreciate these things. Of course, it's the end of March and in true Midwest fashion we're expecting a snow storm tomorrow.
So, here's the thing, I've been unequivocally blessed to have someone in my life with many qualities that I love and need, one of which is a sense of adventure. But, there's always a but, winter just isn't his thing. I, on the other hand, still want to venture out, and eventually get twitchy if I can't. So, he took one for the team and made an awfully long road trip with me a few weeks ago to see some cool (but very tiny compared to the long drive) ice caves at the Rock River Canyon in Upper Michigan.

The whole point was to go inside these things and see something new, but I was completely freaked out to get in there. I'm totally nervous in this picture!
This guy on the other hand.....not exactly nervous.
See, much happier smile OUTSIDE of the caves. :-)
Annnnd almost falling!
Pretty cool view from the top of the caves.
This adventure was followed by some spring like weather, which made for one huge icicle on our house. I saw it when I was home for lunch and left it for my boys to explore at the end of the day.
They're crazy. And make me smile.
Nice
